In "The Space Between", tension is created between each half of the photo, fueled by the hair-like material which forms a liminal space for the portrait to be pulled into, as if the image itself was in the process of melting into something new. By using the overwhelming amount of material that it takes to form the face in fiber, care is taken in repairing and nurturing the portrait through tedious thread laying.
